PearlWest, an SA+R project completed in 2016 in Boulder, was recently named as the Best Large Infill project of the year by the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) Colorado Chapter. At nearly 200,000 square feet of total space, the PearlWest program is a mix of uses including retail and restaurants at ground level and Class A office space above. Below grade, space is provided for a theatre, and conventional parking under the Pearl Street footprint. The building is also home one of the nation’s first fully automated parking systems. The developer of the project was Denver-based The Nichols Partnership.
The CNU organization is driven by a mission to create vibrant and walkable cities, towns, and neighborhoods where people have diverse choices for how they live, work, shop, and get around. It’s statewide annual awards program recognizes those recently completed projects in Colorado that embody that vision best.
