Cesar Olivas, a 6 year SA+R’er, has worked hard to create a scholarship that helps diversify our profession by honoring a CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning student facing financial hardship.
The facts are there – Today, less than 5% of licensed architects are part of the minority. In cities like Denver, where minorities make up nearly 75% our public school population, that number is even less. Statistically, underrepresented minorities are at risk of dropping out of college at a 25% higher rate than their peers. Over half of those that drop out attribute their decision to financial hardship. We’re asking you kindly to join us in donating to this wonderful scholarship in hopes that together we can help grow the minority pool, in all professions.
