A native of the California Bay Area, Mari moved to Colorado in 2014, joining the SA+R team at that time. For Mari, the opportunity to utilize her design skills to impact a rapidly-changing city was a strong force pulling her to make the move, in addition to the Front Range’s famous mountain landscape.
Prior to her move Mari had the opportunity to work with one of San Francisco’s most famous think-tank design firms, David Baker Architects, where she was involved in projects seeking to change the standard for affordable and senior housing solutions around the country. With that experience in hand, Mari has been able to provide strong conceptual design leadership and creative thinking to several of SA+R’s multi-family housing projects such as the Wewatta Aparthotel and the 10th& Acoma project underway in Denver’s Golden Triangle. She was also a key player in the design and management of The Grand residential community in Downtown Denver, a LEED Silver Certified project.
In addition to her project work, Mari also plays a key role in helping to lead SA+R’s Revit technology standards and implementation across the studio.
