Preston Reed is a native of Atlanta, Georgia who moved to Colorado in 2009 and joined the SA+R team in 2018. Prior to joining our firm Preston held a key design role with a small, Denver-based residential and hospitality design firm. In this role at a small practice Preston had the opportunity to lead projects from a very young age, managing client goals, deadlines and budgets from day one.
Reed’s most recent experience has included a significant amount of work in the restaurant and interior architecture sector, as well as projects at the civic infrastructure scale. He is a fluent user of Revit, as well as several other three-dimensional drawing platforms. He is particularly talented in parametric design, creating unique, beautiful shapes and structures to create warm, inviting environments for restaurant and commercial patrons.
In addition to his work Preston also spends a great deal of time as a guest lecturer and critic at his Alma Mater, the University of Colorado at Boulder. There he coaches students in parametric design and provides overall design guidance for studio classes each semester.
