Responding to the historic porch and deck character of the City Park West / Uptown neighborhoods, this project anchors the transition from a residential fabric to a busy commercial edge. The 116 residential units are efficiently arranged in two volumes which in turn express the contextual connection with their balconies. The smaller first volume defers to the scale of the single family homes and walk up apartments while the larger second volume uses a clear and direct massing to establish the urban edge. A simple materiality is complemented by human scale textural focal points at the entry, panoramic roof deck, and fitness courtyard.
