Creative Learning Preschool

The Stapleton Creative Learning Preschool is an early childhood education center for the thriving community of the Stapleton neighborhood. The 4,900 square foot facility opened in 2018 and is designed to accommodate 80 children through a series of both indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Given its location within a primarily residential neighborhood, the materials, massing, and street presence were all carefully crafted to contribute to the pedestrian fabric of the Stapleton community. Entries to the school are sensitive to the scale of small children and conducive to the daily drop-off and pick-up patterns of parents, children, and teachers alike. Durability is expressed throughout the project’s materials, and a strategic use of color helps to visually distinguish spaces, paths, and indoor/outdoor relationships.
