SAR+

Reagan Schneckloth
Interior DesignerReagan joined SAR+ in 2025 after graduating from Colorado State University where she gained a passion for accessible and sustainable design. She enjoys finding meaningful connections between the conceptual foundations of a project to technical and user-centers goals, creating healthy spaces where community and equity are ingrained. Reagan is especially drawn to large-scale commercial projects that present unique challenges and opportunities for creative solutions. Outside of design work, Reagan enjoys reading, hiking, and watching new documentaries.
We sat down with Reagan for a quick Q&A to learn a little more about what inspires her, what she’s working on, and what makes her tick. Here’s what she had to say.
Q: What’s your role at SAR+?
A: Interior Designer
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up in the Denver metro area and Kansas City Missouri.
Q: What first pulled you toward architecture or interior design?
A: I was first interested in interior design because I wanted to be able to create things that people use every day. Once I learned more about the profession in school I was also drawn to the blend of technical, conceptual, and empathetic thinking.
Q: What are you working on at SAR+ right now that you’re most excited about?
A: Currently, I’m working on a Montessori school with many unique and exciting design moments. It’s been so fun to design a space full of special playful elements.
Q: Describe your design style or approach in three words.
A: Empathy, passion, and collaboration.
Q: Best piece of advice you’ve ever received (work-related or otherwise)?
A: The best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten was from my dance teacher in high school. She told us that the fastest way to improve was to stand next to a dancer who is better than you are. By taking this advice into design as well, I have learned so much through simple observation.
Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled, or a trip still high on your wish list?
A: My favorite place that I’ve traveled to has been the Redwood National Park.
Q: If you could swap roles with someone at SAR+ for a day, who would it be and why?
A: I don’t know if I could choose just one! I think it would be fun to swap with everyone for two hours, and then I could decide.
Q: What was your very first job?
A: As a teenager I worked at Chipotle for a short time (turns out that I’m not a great burrito wrapper).
Q: If you weren’t in architecture or design, what would you be doing instead?
A: I could see myself as a high school history teacher in another life.
Q: What’s always on your desk or in your bag?
A: Aquaphor, hair ties, and fidget toys!
Q: One thing on your bucket list (personal or professional)?
A: I would like to go skydiving.
Q: If you could only eat one type of food forever, what’s the pick?
A: I would pick rice because it’s so versatile!
Q: Your coffee order, exactly as you’d say it at the counter.
A: Hi! Can I please have an iced almond milk vanilla latte?
Q: Morning person or night owl?
A: Night owl!
Q: Your current obsession.
A: Ex CIA agent interviews, watching traffic patterns out my window, my plants, and learning how to ski.
Q: Most random skill or unexpected party trick?
A: I can do the splits, and dislocate my shoulder and hip on command.
Q: If you could instantly master one skill, what would it be?
A: I would love to learn how to play the Cello.
Q: Give us a hot take.
A: Hobbies are the most fun when you aren’t good at them! (room to grow, no pressure to “be good”, joy of learning)
Q: Favorite SAR+ memory or moment so far?
A: My favorite memory so far has to be Beach Day!
