Dania Morelli

Architectural Intern

Dania Morelli is a designer and storyteller, drawn to architecture not just for what it builds, but for what it preserves. Her path took a defining turn during her architecture school project at CU Denver, where, under the guidance of her mentor, Professor Adam Wagoner, she discovered the powerful role emotion plays in design. Her design journey began with a quiet fascination: how certain places stay with us long after we leave, how walls and corners can quietly collect the emotions, dreams, and memories of those who pass through them. For Dania, architecture is memory made tangible, a way to hold onto what matters and make it visible through space.

She is currently pursuing her Master of Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver, along with certificates in Design-Build and Interior Design. Her work with the ColoradoBuildingWorkshop taught her the value of building with care, where story meets structure, and where design becomes an act of remembering. As an architectural intern at SAR+ this summer, Dania brings a belief that spaces are more than shelter, they are silent archives, capable of carrying the weight of memory and the warmth of human experience. She is most inspired by architecture that does not demand attention, but quietly gives something back: a feeling of home, of continuity, of being seen.

In addition to her design work, Dania serves as President of the AIAS CU Denver Chapter and as an At-Large Director for AIA Colorado, where she champions emerging voices and the future of a more compassionate profession. Outside the studio, Dania finds inspiration in music, learning filmmaking, and time spent with close friends, moments that often become the emotional foundation of her creative work. For her, architecture is not just about what we make, but about WHAT WE REMEMBER, and how design can help us return, again and again, to the places and feelings that made us who we are.
